07/02/2002 Entry: "No anime convention"
After all the work of getting a Sailor Mars costume and a new digital camera, I found out that I have to cancel my trip to Long Beach Convention Center. Within the past few weeks, I've racked up quite a doctors bill and I just got that in the mail today. I've spent over $300 on doctor visits and medications. Since I can't afford to spend another $200 (on admission $40, parking fee $10, sailor shoes $40, buying anime stuff $100) I have decided to postpone my trip to the con this year. So instead, I'll be spending my time on the computer revamping my site and finishing designing a friend's site. Of course, I still remember I still need to revamp Jesse's site. A big thanks to everyone who continues to visit my site and my blog. I feel terrible for not being able to read everyone else's blogs in return. :( I hope you'll all forgive my absence from the web.

Replies: 4 Brilliant Ideas Hi Sunyee! I'm so sorry that you won't be able to attend your conference and I'm also sorry about your doctor bills. I hope you are well now? My hubby & I have had to put off events in our life as well, because the money was needed for other things that came up at the last moment. Life is always full of unknown (and sometimes, unwelcome!) surprises, but at least we always have our friends to hang out with and help us through the rough spots!
