Bedroom Feng Shui Tips

| Return to Gemele.com Feng Shui Resources |

*  Best to have a "sheng chi" bedroom = "successful" bedroom

*  Do not sleep directly under a beam

* not being "hit" by the edge of a protruding corner

*  do NOT have feet or head directly pointed at door or toilet

* do not have the headboard directly under a window

* Never hang peonies in bedroom, only in living room

* good bed is decorated in colrs that harmonize with the sleeper's year element (fire=red) OR the element of the corner in which it is placed.  In the case of Briarwood, the bed is in the W & SW of direction, therefore the color should be white or grey.  Too much yang energy is bad for sleep (too much red is bad).

* Bedspreads dark in color are preferred over lighter ones.  Plain, colored bedspreads better than patterned ones.

* No bed design with abstract prints or patterns with triangular or pointed symbols.

* TV in bedroom must be covered with a cloth.  Same with mirrors.

*  If the bedroom must have mirrors, keep them out of sight.   Such as hanging curtains over the bed to seperate the affects of the mirror from the sleepers.

*  Stories have been told of spirits being trapped in mirrors or that spirits can be reflected in mirrors, therefore it is BAD to have them in the bedroom.

*  Never have a bedroom that has two doors, 1) move the bed away from the center of the two doors, or 2) place a screen to obscure one door.

*  Feet or Head should NEVER point to the door or toilet.  If must, have a headboard or screen to seperate the effects

*  If bedroom and bathroom/staircase are connected by a door, hang a small windchime above the door

*  If children are rebellious, make sure child is sleeping toward the "romance" direction

*  Never have bed too close to floor

*  Bad grades, child should have desk facing "personal development" direction  & hang a small crystal in the NE corner of bedroom.

*  Crystal in the SW corner of bedroom brings harmony & happiness to relationships
(Crystals should be cleansed by soaking it in sea salt water for 7 days & 7 nights)

*  Do not use blue sheets

*  Blue carpet and wallpapers are fine for bedroom

Wealth vase should be of semi-pecious stones (crystal, quartze, amethyst, citrines, tiger's eye, lapis, lazuli, malachite, pearls, etc.)
         *  Vase made of earth => porcelain, crystal => SW, NE is ok
         *  Vase made of metal => copper, brass, silver, or gold (gold-plated is ok) => W or NW
         *  The more precious the vase, the better the affect
         *  Kept away in bedroom, inside a cupboard, out of sight
         *  Never show anyone wealth face
         *  Should never face the front door

*  Energize north of personal space = good career luck.  If N corner is in bedroom, do not do anything there.  Instead activate N corner of living room.  Aqurium filled with live guppies is good.

*  Dressing Table should have lots of bright light.  Best if located in the S, SW, or NE of bedroom (pg. 108)
