General Office Tips

*  Sit directly facing your sheng chi "success" direction OR place office in location that corresponds with your "success" direction.

*  If one can't sit in "success" direction, then must sit in fu wei "personal development" direction.

*  If office door that opens into your office is at end of corridor, it receives "killing chi"

*  If office door faces lifts or elevators, creates imbalance

*  If office door faces a staircase, chi is extremeley negative

*  If office door faces a staircase going up and going down, there will be disharmony and quarrelling in office

*  Avoid sharp edge of table, open bookshelves, or table piled high with files

*  Fake trees, represents "wood" = growth, is best to have within an office.  Don't overdo it.

*  Don't sit under any beams or pointed edges of walls.  Move away or use a hollow bamboo tied with red ribbon.

*  Use potted plants to defect negative energy, when all else fails, use a bright light.

*  Flower vase on the East side of desk, but do not let it block your view

*  Small healthy green plant on the SE corner of desk (attracts good income)

*  Round crystal on the SW corner of desk, create harmonious relationships

*  Lamp in South builds good reputation

*  Calculators & Computers, metal equipment, on a SEPERATE table in W or NW.  If they must stay on SAME desk, then have computer on right hand side, but something on left hand side must be higher to tame it.  Such as placing files or books.

*  Phone should face fu wei "personal development" direction

*  North corner = water = career, DO NOT OVERDO - place a small water feature, continously moving.  One foot in diameter would be ideal

*  Turtle is the guardian of the north, hang a turtle picture in the NORTH part of the office.  A single tortoise is more lucky than a pair.  North = 1.

*  A round, turtle-back-like mountain behind you, NEVER confront the mountain.

*  Beautiful painting of water to hang in front of you in the office, ONLY if the wall facing you is either NORTH, EAST, or SE will bring exceptionally good fortune into work life.  Don't hang water with mountains, unless mountains are far in the distance

*  Picture of red bird, or a ceramics or crystal image of the phoenix in the SOUTH corner of office

*  Block out excessive sunlight with curtains, or hang balls of crystal to dissipate the light

*  Never have a black ceiling

*  Walls and ceilings should be white (bright white)

*  Warm peachy shade of red for SOUTH corner of office (curtains, wallpaper, furniture, etc.)

*  Green = money = EAST, bright green = growth, use fake silk trees with bright happy green leaves to energize better income in office.

*  Blue = water.  Good effect in East, SE, and North corners of office space.  Never over use blue

*  Chairs should have high back and good arm support.  Height of 109 cm or (43 inches) for chair back.

*  Perfect desk is 35 inches wide, 33 inches tall, and 60 inches long.

*  NW is symbolic of all the gold and wealth of office, place of BIG metal.  Important metallic furniture can go here, including safe, computer, or copying machine.  NW = networking luck (pg. 79)

*  Wealth bucket (do not confuse with personal wealth bucket pg. 123) - use for NW of office, fill with gold ingot or gold stuff.  Place in cabinet, DO NOT display openly.  DO NOT tell anyone about it. (pg. 79)

*  Regardless of E or W person, small wood or plants is good to be placed in SE corner of office  Plants with broad rounded leaves is good.

*  Auspicious art in office (pg. 86)
   * avoid sharp edges and colors that clash with the elements on the wall
  *  Art that suggests metal would be harmful on E or SE walls
  *  No picture of eizened old men or tragedies
  *  Picture of monarch or founder of company is best in corner that is NW
  *  Place mountain painting behind a person and water feature in the front
  *  Paintings of flwoers and fruit are good, but not peonies or flowers that represent romance
  *  Fruits pictures on E wall
  *  Paintings of fish is good

*  DOORS - Avoid having doors with sliding doors open into office or study space at home, it should be solid and firm.  A door should be in an auspicious direction.  Solid door that opens inwards is best.  Match design of door to its directional element is best and choose the right color for that element.
  *  brown = E or SE
  *  white = W or NW
  *  maroon = S
  *  beige = SE and NE

During a Meeting

*  Choose a seat furthest away from the door when negotiating.

*  Never sit with back to door or window (unless window faces a solid building)

*  Don't sit underneath beams

*  Choose a chair that has armrest and high back

*  Don't sit in a seat that have feet ponted at door

*  Never sit at sharp or angular pointing directly at you
