Gemelle's Sailor Moon Collection

Showcasing my prized Sailor Moon Collection.
Last Updated on August 2, 2007

Want to get your own collection?

Sailor Moon Videos/DVDs ( DVDs nor BitTorrent were available in 1996)

DIC I bought these two videos the instant they hit the stores at Toys R Us. I had other DIC videos but I threw them away. It was just getting too much to carry around each time I moved from dorm to dorm, apartment to apartment. So I kept only my most favorite episodes.

VKLL The VKLL VHS videos were next. VKLL was selling the entire Seasons 3, 4, and 5 because they were not yet licensed to the United States yet. I discovered VKLL tapes when I was browsing for Beanie Babies at a Franklin & Song's Collector's Swapmeet. I saw Sailor Moon FanSubs on VHS. I bought one copy and as I watched, I saw the link to the VKLL website. So from that point on, I purchased directly from VKLL's website (since it was much cheaper). It was just $10 a tape with the cool plastic covers and everything!

Pioneer This is my prized Sailor Moon Movies DVD collection. I preordered my Sailor Moon R: Promise of the Rose movie from Amazon.com. At that time, that was the only place that would sell such DVDs. I LOVE both the English and Japanese versions of the movie. As you can see, the last to join my movie collection is Sailor Super S the Movie. I actually bought the 3rd movie June of 2005.

ADV I bought the ADV subtitled version of Sailor Moon on Amazon.com as well. The box looked beautiful and I've always wanted to watch Sailor Moon as it was meant to be seen. I've had the DVD boxset for years. But I didn't watch it until August 2005. I purchased the Sailor Moon R Series on Ebay in July 2005.

Super S Here is my bootlegg copy of Sailor Moon Super S Series that I purchased from Ebay (as a sign of protest against the horrible voice dubbing of Serena!!). I haven't watched this yet. I am waiting for my official Geneon Sailor S Series to arrive in the mail first.

I purchase the official versions of anime to SUPPORT the continous import of anime into America. Also I'm a big fan of the voice stars, such as Crispin Freeman, Steve Blum, Wendee Lee, Kari Wahlgreen, Chris Patton, Monica Stori, Hiliary Haag, etc! They have definitely pushed the voice acting industry in a positive direction. Therefore I choose to purchase the official versions to support their work! (The last thing I want is Hollywood actors to use their star powers and get into anime dubbing ... remember Princess Mononoke?)
