News #1 of 1: Sailor Moon Season 2 Uncut is coming to DVD officially on September 23, 2003. But at Amazon.com, they are releasing it on September 16, 2003. So you can get Sailor Moon Series Season 2 COMPLETE & UNCUT. now by reserving it in advance. Season 2 is the one with Alan and Ann and also with Prince Diamond. Season 2 is one of the best Sailor Moon series. Several episodes were edited or deleted completely from the original version. So don't miss out on this chance to own the original Japanese version with English subtitles.

News #1 of 1: I have watched a majority of the Sailor Moon Series Season 1 COMPLETE & UNCUT. Hope you've had a chance to watch it too. Anyways, I took the time to write a brief review of what I have seen so far.

News #1 of 3: Anime Expo 2003 was a great success. I was there July 4, 2003 taking pictures of all the wonderful cosplays costumes. I didn't see any(girl) dressed in a Sailor Moon costume, so my pictures this year won't have any Sailor Moon cosplays. But there were several Inuyasha, Chobits, and .Hack cosplayers. The SeraMyu Panel was held on July 3, 2003 and that could explain why I didn't get a chance to meet any Sailor Moon Cosplayers. Pictures will be posted up shortly.

News #2 of 3: The July issue of Young You magazine has a statement from Naoko Takeuchi, the original creator of Sailor Moon, officially announcing the new Sailor Moon TV series that will air on Japanese TV this fall.

The TV series will be a live action show produced by Toei. Takeuchi says, "It was decided that Sailor Moon will be brought to TV again, this time as a live action series," and that she is looking forward to seing it.

More details should be available soon, Takeuchi suggests that fans watch for announcements in newspapers and magazines and on the Sailor Moon website.

News #1 of 2: According to the February 2003 edition of Wizard's Anime Invasion article, "ADV Films has finally secured the rights to put the original Sailor Moon and Sailor Moon R TV series, UNCUT and SUBTITLED, out in the U.S. for the first time ever."

All original 1995 Moonies know that DIC was the first to broadcast Sailor Moon and that DIC "heavily" changed and cut out the original Japanese version of Sailor Moon for the American audience. For example, names were changed, gender roles where changed, and even the last battle with Queen Beryl was COMPLETELY edited and changed from the original version.

Therefore this is a HUGE victory for us Moonies!!! The DVD will be coming out Fall 2003, so work hard during the summer to earn enough extra cash to purchase the complete set once school starts again in the Fall.

Of course, I will keep you posted on this big news and I welcome any news, rumors, or gossip regarding this big release. Just email ~~sailormoon@gemele.com~~.

Now for those who are wondering what kind of extras will be on these DVDs, here's the quote from Anime Invasion: "Mr. Wiatrek responded, 'That's not finalized yet, but it's most likely that we'll minimize extras on these'." (pg. 66) So there you have it, straight from the horse's mouth. Nontheless, it's still terrific to get the chance to witness how Sailor Moon was meant to be seen.

News #2 of 2: For those Anime Fans that live in the West Coast, the Anime Expo is coming up in a few more weeks!!! This year, it will be held back at the Anaheim Convention Center, right next to Disneyland. All the news regarding the Anime Expo 2003 can be found at http://www.anime-expo.org/. Lots of vendors and cosplay fans will be there.

If you want to see pictures of prior years, just check out my Anime Expo Collection. The dates of the convention is July 3rd to the 6th. I will be there again this year. Ok, so this may come a little late, but the Anime Expo was at the Disneyland hotel this 4th of July weekend. The last day is July 3, 2000. The convention opens at 8AM and ends at 3PM on Monday.

I found out about the expo while waiting in line for the Thunder Mountain ride at Disneyland ... I was wondering why so many people had on anime expo t-shirts. So I went on Sunday and it was AWESOME!

I took LOTS of pictures and they'll be ~~posted up~~ as soon as
I develop them! Just to let you know what to expect ... I've got wonderful pictures of people dressed up as Sailor Cosmos, Sailor Saturn, Sailor Jupiter, Chung-Li and LOTS more!!!

I hope you are all enjoying the Sailor Moon S Series dubbed in English on the Cartoon Network!!!! If not, it's on Cartoon Network 4:00PM Eastern and Pacific Standard Time. Today's episode is airing right now in the East Coast. Sailor Uranus and Neptune's names are finally revealed!! It's Michelle and Amara. Isn't it beautiful!

Also, I'm sure you've all noticed by now that Serena's voice is made by a new voicestar. The original voicestar was Terri Hawkes ... who we'll all miss. As for Darien, Luna, Artemis, Lita, and Raye they're voices are still the same! Big thanks to those original voicestars for sticking around! Especially the wonderful voice of Darien! ;)

I thought I should let you all know that 38 BRAND new Sailor Moon episodes will be aired on Cartoon Network on MONDAY!!!!! My source is the advertisments on Cartoon Network. I hope it's true. Becuase if it is then on June 12, 2000 the Sailor S Series will be airing in the US. So set your VCRs!!!

Also Sailor Moon is back on Toonami. It's current time slot is 4:00PM EST and PST. Please check your local listing to make sure the times doesn't change for this coming Monday.

Other Sailor Moon news: Just in case you haven't been to your local video stores: On May 6, 2000 the Sailor S Movie "Hearts in Ice" has been released!!! It is a VERY good dubbing of the Sailor S Movie.

Happy Easter Everyone!

Good News! I just heard that Cartoon Network will be doing some major advertising to attract the Sailor Moon audience when they are about to release the Sailor S and Sailor Super S seasons.

They said the dubbing is being currently done and Cartoon Network will be broadcasting it.

There may also me a very likely chance that Cartoon Network will be airing the 3 Sailor Moon movies sometime in the of Summer 2000 on their Toonami run

Currently on Cartoon Network, Sailor Moon has been taken out of the afternoon Toonami Run. But Cartoon Network is still showing it @ 3:30 PM PST, which is right before the Toonami Run begins.

Also, as of today, 4/14/00, Sailor Moon has cycled to the beginning again. So it's starting with the First Season of Sailor Moon.

Pioneer Entertainment has purchased rights from VKLL regarding the dubbing of the Sailor S and Sailor Super S seasons into English!!! (Production Information @ Optimum Production)

On Fall 2000, Cartoon Network will start broadcasting Sailor S series. It will continue broadcasting through Sailor Super S!

The Sailor S and Sailor Super S Movie is coming out soon! I believe the Sailor S is coming out in May 23, 2000. The dubbed Sailor Super S movie is coming out June 13, 2000.

If you are questioning yourself as to purchasing the DVD or video version of the English dubbed Sailor Moon - go for the DVD! It has both the original Japanese dub with English Subtitles as well as the English dubbed version.
