How do I know this????

Because I watched the original DIC dub on TV back in 1995. (Remember the INTERNET was just starting and people were happy with a 56K modem. It sure beat 14K any day.)

I was in college at the time and always had Sailor Moon taped.

Everything was going well with Sailor Moon until it hit a MAJOR road block - known as episode 72 of 200.

This was the episode when all Four Negamoon Sisters became normal human beings and the Sailor Scouts had to defeat Rubeus.

Instead of continuing, the Sailor Moon series suddenly went into infinite re-runs and then it was cut from the air.

That's when the SOS (Save Our Sailors) campaign began all over the Internet to bring Sailor Moon back on TV. After much commotion and ruckus, Sailor Moon continued, almost a year later from when it was cut. It finished Season R and then another long hiatus began.

It was 1998 and I got tired of waiting and so I purchased the VKLL fansub versions. The VKLL fansub versions was "legal" at the time because Japan still have not sold the rights for Season 3 and 4 to the United States yet.

Then 2000 came and VKLL discontinued its fansubs because the US finally got rights to begin production on Sailor Moon Season 3 and 4.

Every Sailor Moon fan was rejoicing because a new company, called Pioneer held rights to it. Pioneer had already proved itself with a GREAT version of the Sailor Moon R Movie.

Although Pioneer did change the relationship in the American version between Amara and Michelle, it kept many of the scenes intact so when you buy the DVD box set, you get BOTH the English & Japanese versions!

Season 3 finally aired in Fall of 2000. It was mostly on the Cartoon Network by then.
