The full title is "Pretear - The New Legend of
Snow White" is magical girl themed anime. It's a fairy-tale
romance style anime. Himeno is discovered to have magical powers
of a PreTear. Hence she is trained by the seven Leafe Knights to
become a powerful PreTear. Each Leafe Knight has a special power,
and if Himeno "pre" with them, she will also take on their
power. There is also a love interest between Himeno and one of the
Leafe Knights.
Their mission in this shorth 13 episode anime is to
find and destroy the Princess of Destruction.
This anime is a combination of Sailor Moon, Snow White,
Sleeping Beauty, and Buffy: The Vampire Slayer. ^_^ PreTear is created
by Geneon Entertainment and is distributed in America by ADV.

The American dub versions have voice stars such as
Chris
Patton as Sasame, Luci
Christian as Himeno (female lead), Illich
Guardiola (male lead), and Hilary
Haag to name a few.
PreTear is made for a older teen audience. There are
several adult situations in the anime and thus it is not for kids
to watch. The magical girl transformation itself is not appropriate
for children. But for the older teenage girl anime fan, this is
one of the best anime I've seen since Sailor Moon!
But be warned, the first 5 episodes may seem a little
slow, since it's setting up the theme and background of this anime.
But everything gets really intense and interesting starting episode
6. I watch PreTear on the Anime Network.
