TAIWAN

A tiny island in the Pacific ...

Midi

| Back to Sunyee's Bio Page|

Born in the Southern most parts of the countryside in Taiwan, R.O.C, I lived there for the first six years of my life. After kindergarten, my mother brought me over to America, where I finally met my father.

I lived with my grandparents, aunts, and uncles for the first six years of my life. It was a nice rural environment to grow up. It's very different from the busy, congested environment of Taipei or Koushiung . . .

Just imagine, how often do you see an ox walk right past your house, or be just 5 minutes away from a duck farm? Heck, the rice paddies were a 30 second walk or a 3 second run away. I could also fire off as many fire crackers as I want at any time of the year!! >:) It was a small town where everyone knows everyone. It truly was a wonderful and safe provincial place to grow up.

Here are some of my own pictures that I took from the Southern Peninsula of Taiwan.
